PBA got their league campaign off to the best possible start with a solid 5-1 win against AFC Veterans. Despite conceding early on the blues bounced back almost straight away as Kevin Hesselden scrambled the ball home from close range. The lead wasnt far away as Daniel Allotts pin-point cross found the head of Terence Brown whos thunderous header found the corner of the net. It was 3-1 before the interval as Kevin Hesselden grabbed his 2nd goal of the game finishing confidently from close range. In the second half the blues took their foot off the gas but managed to add a couple more to the total. Sam Irodenko scored early on in the half with a clinical finish from 12 yards which gave the keeper no chance and it was captain and man of the match Daniel Ibbetson who completed the scoring with a tap in from 2 yards out after a game of pinball in the box.
