PLEASE ATTEND THE MEETING SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2014 Cheyenne and Arapaho People it’s time to wake-up and STOP all the corruption and lawlessness of the tribes. Instead of moving forward, we are moving backwards to the days of the BUSINESS COMMITTEE. Are we so blind that we can’t see what is going on or do you condone this behavior? These people are bring shame upon are tribes, if you don’t care do nothing, if you are proud of who you are and proud of our tribes, do something about it. Attend the special tribal council meeting this Saturday, December 6th at Concho. Otherwise, if you don’t care, don’t whine and cry around when the Federal government shuts down our federal programs and casinos. We are a constitutional tribe; we have agreements with the federal government to abide by the constitution and federal law, not by traditional law. If you want to follow the few traditional people who don’t care about the future of tribes, follow them. But, you Cheyenne and Arapaho traditional people who are proud of our traditions, it’s time to stand up for our traditions and NOT allow these few to corrupt and abuse our ways. We elected a new coordinator for the tribal council on October 5, 2014 at our annual meeting. Now the legislators, Hamilton and Sankey and the carrie- over administration from Boswell want to remove Pete Salinas from office. Pete is doing what we ask him to do, find out who the people are that are violating the constitution. Find out who the people are who are not looking out for the best interest of the tribe. In Pete’s short time as coordinator, he has upset some people who are illegally in positions as defined by the Constitution. People want him removed so he will stop digging in the unethical activities plaguing our tribe. Vote to keep Pete. We have not had an approved tribal budget since 2008 when I was Governor. The Legislators at that time did not want the tribe to have a budget; they did not approve the one we submitted. The Boswell administration did not produce one budget during her term in office. The legislators also did not want a budget; they could have forced Boswell to produce a budget, but did not. The constitution requires the Governor of the tribe to produce an annual audit for the people of the tribe to review and see if the administration is spending our tribal monies in an efficient manner. Without an audit we have no idea of how our money is spent. Good example is Pokertribes and Bingotribes The budget, per the constitution is to be completed by the executive branch by June 1st of each year and present to the legislature for their review and changes. A finish budget is to be presented to the people at the Annual Tribal Council Meeting each year. If the executive branch and legislative branch do not provide us with a finished budget for us to vote on, then they have violated the constitution. Then we must take them to court, we have that right. We have two important issues that we must decide on Saturday, please attend; bring relatives, friends and other tribal members. As usual, the executive branch, legislative branch and the casinos will direct their employees to attend and vote with Hamilton and Sankey. Be there and vote, your vote will decide the future of our tribe.
