You have 24 hours to complete this task. First off, someone that I knew, love and still to this day really miss was diagnosed with this disease. I was very young when I knew him and I had never heard of Lou Gehrigs disease before. I remember how hard it was for not just him, but all of his family, friends and unbelievable loving wife. Please take more time reading up on what ALS really is and how its affected people that have either had it or been close to someone who had it. For now, heres a brief description: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. ALS is also known as Lou Gehrigs disease.
