PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!! We (Secular and Progressive Muslim women and men - no Islamophobes or right-wingers or patriarchal fanatics please) are organizing a peaceful demonstration against Boko Haram in a small but symbolic bid to condemn misogynistic Islamists who have violated the basic human rights of Muslim women as well as women from different communities. The demonstration will be held in my home-town Lucknow along with progressive organizations such as Saanjhi Duniya ( A Shared World) , Bhartya Muslim Mahila Andolan ( Indian Muslim Womens Movement ), All India Muslim Womens Law Board, Anjuman Faleh Muslim Khawateen ( Organization for Upliftment of Muslim Women) and others. All like-minded peers are invited. The demonstration will take place on 15th May, 2014. Details will follow by tomorrow.
