PLEASE TELL US- WHERE IS THE DEMOCRACY IN THIS????!? Today we hear that the Poolbeg Incinerator project has got the green light from the Dublin City Council Manager, DESPITE THE OVERWHELMING OBJECTION OF THE ELECTED COUNCILLORS WHO REPRESENT THE PEOPLE... So corporate money and government agenda takes precedence over the population and local wishes. Well we might as well just give our income, house keys, pension entitlements, savings, property deeds, ALL to the government at this rate!!! STOP ALL THIS MADNESS- TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT DDI- THERE IS A BETTER WAY! Under Direct Democracy the government, national AND local, are accountable, TRULY, DAILY, IRREVOCABLY. YOU decide if they can keep their job. YOU decide if they are doing a good job. YOU decide what their main priorities for big decisions are. YOU. YOU the people are in charge. The officials only role is to serve and to work hard to deliver what the people TELL THEM TO. It works. Switzerland has had direct democracy for over SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS. Make it happen here! Dont just say oh theres nothing I can do, nothing will ever change because you will make it so. MAKE THE CHANGE. MAKE IT HAPPEN. SPREAD THE WORD. WE NEED DDI NOW
