PNG Police is disgrace to the country. Police (except for few) are the most notorious criminals legalized by the constitution of the country to terrorize, intimidate, and brutalize citizens using the uniforn and arms issued by state. They are some of the most dangerous law enforcing body with undesciplined behaviors in many of their dealings in enforcing law and order in the country. They can never be trusted. If they for instance take your car after accident or you being arrested for any wrong doings, chances are that they can take your car keys and the rogue men will drive your car and can misuse it. Some people have reported that police got their vehicles and bumped them while the vehicles were in the rogue mens custody. Or if you involve in a car accident, policemen can remove valuable items in the vehicles. They can even strip your valuable items using force and will never get them back. In PNG, they should have arrested the prime minister though the investigations initially provided convincing evidence against him. However, police in their wisdom decided not to arrest the PM hence the PMs lawyer had a chance to test the legitimacy of the arrest warrant in court in which case, is be determined by the courts of law. And the case is still before the courts. All the above paints one thing. That is, PNG police needs a total overhaul in the entire hierarchy.
