POLICE REGIONAL OFFICE MIMAROPA NO: 102813-__ NEWS RELEASE Authority : PSUPT IMELDA VASQUEZ TOLENTINO Chief, Regional Public Information Office Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City E-mail : rpio_mimaropa@ymail Date : October 28, 2013 PRO MIMAROPA’s Distributed Seventy-Seven (77) Official Police Blotter Books to Police Provincial Offices Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City-To see the true crime situation on the crime statistics nationwide including those incidents recorded in the Barangay and other Law enforcement agencies as prescribed in PNP LOI Unit Crime Periodic Report 02/09 UCPER (the proper implementation, monitoring and recording of crime incidents) wherein the Police Blotter Book is the only main source/date source of crime data and the basis for preparing and accomplishing the UCPER of a certain area, PRO MIMAROPA under the stewardship of PCSUPT MELITO M MABILIN, Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPA distributed seventy – seven (77) Official Police Blotter Books to Mindoro Oriental PPo and Romblon PPO during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held in front of Regional Headquarters Building on October 28, 2013. Mindoro Oriental PPO represented by PSUPT TIMOTEO L ESPIRITU, C,PIDMB received fifteen (15) Police Blotter Books while Romblon PPO represented by PO1 Merwin Glori received thirty – five (35). On October 15, 2013, twenty-four (24) Official Blotter Book were already handed over to Palawan Police Provincial Office and three (3) to Puerto Princesa City Police Station. Accordingly, C, PNP mandated the DIDM to conduct validation on Crime Statistics nationwide and results of the said audit show that several Chiefs of Police of other regions were administratively relieved from their post and were subjected to further investigation to determine their accountability for failure to report the true crime picture in their respective area of responsibility except COPs of MIMAROPA. These could be attributed by the exerted efforts conducted by the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division under PSUPT ROMEO ESTEPA.
