** PRESS RELEASE ** HOMICIDE On Thursday morning, 05/15/2014, at 02:16 a.m. Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a man down in area of Isaac Street in Norwalk. Officers responded to the area and located one male victim who had been shot lying on the pavement of Leonard Street, just a short distance away. Officers attempted to render medical aid however discovered that the victim was deceased. The area was secured and a crime scene was established. The Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit responded. Investigators documented the scene, searched for and collected evidence as well as canvassed the neighborhood for possible leads. The victim has been identified as a 43-year-old male Hispanic Norwalk resident. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. Some of the victim’s family members are out of the country and we have been unable to reach them at this time. Norwalk Police Case Number 14-22157 The last homicide in the city occurred October 30, 2012. The suspects in that incident were arrested and the cases are pending in Stamford Court. .
