PROGRESS: Thanks to the bravery and powerful organizing of the Hamilton family, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett has announced that ALL Milwaukee police will receive 40 hours of mental health training. This is an important first step in addressing the violence of Milwaukee police, and reaffirms the power of the people to create real-world change: Barrett commended the Hamilton family for wanting to have something positive come from the loss of their son and brother. He said most people would not have the strength to push for reforms in the aftermath of such a tragedy. I dont know if I could do this, the mayor told a room full of reporters.
