Painful Love. Chapter 2: A Daughter?. (Toms POV) Nicolas words rang in my ears. I had a daughter? Why did she never tell me?. I realized i had been stood in shock for quite some time. As i tried to gather my thoughts i could hear Robert calling my name. I turned back towards them, making them all look in my direction. My best mate and brother Chris rushed to my side while, Robert, Jeremy, Chris E, Luke and Samuel all followed him. Tom! mate!, whats wrong? what happened with Nicola he wondered, holding on to me as i felt my legs turn to jelly, Luke you drive Toms car, Well take him home. NO!, I need to go to Nicolas I almost begged. Tom, dude. Let her go, shes getting married! Evans retorted. Grabbing my other arm and walking me towards the cars. I stopped and pulled my arms free, looking around at all of them. I have to go Chris, please. We have a daughter! I cried, as tears stung my eyes and started to trickle down my face. I felt myself fall to the floor as they all rushed around me. Why didnt she tell me? Phone me? or something? I mumbled through my sobs. Chris finally agreed to drive me to Nicolas home, but insisted on texting Scarlett to let them know we were coming. I felt a little better but nervous as well. I was about to meet my daughter for the first time. I wanted to stop at a local toy store, but Evans and Hemsworth both advised it would be better to just meet her first rather than take her half of the toy store. As we pulled up outside of Nicolas house, i started to feel a little giddy and sick. The last time i had nerves this bad, was just before going on stage for Coriolanus. I stepped out of the car and followed both Chriss up to Nicolas door. As i went to knock Rosamund opened the door and smiled at Chris and Chris. Come in boys. Nicola is in the kitchen with......Oh, Tom. Right! you better all wait in the living room. Ill let Nicola know your here she remarked, as she led us in to the living room and headed towards the kitchen. I looked around the room and saw many photos of Nicola with a smiling beautiful baby girl, who aged as i looked from one to another. She looked so much like my sister Emma and had my eye colour. Just then Nicola walked in with Rosamund and Scarlett behind her. She walked towards me. Before you say anything! It will be Madisons decision if she wants to meet you. Just know this. Ive told her and Taron who her father is. Madison loves Taron like her father, understand she spoke quietly, as i nodded, she walked out of the room and went upstairs. We could hear movement and then someone bounding down the stairs. I heard Nicola call out to Madison asking her to wait. Nicola entered the living room, with a small blonde curly haired girl behind her. As i knelt down, i could feel a strange love and need to protect her sweep over me. Madison, you remember both Chriss. Well i want you to meet your father Tom Nicola told her. The little blonde girl, stepped out from behind her mother and slowly walked towards me, I decided to sit down on the floor so that i was looking up into her bright blue eyes. She smiled down at me and then flung her arms around my neck. I held her tightly. Daddy she sobbed as she began to cry into my neck. I pulled her down into my lap and wiped at her tears, as she wiped at mine. Your really here at last! she cried. When i looked up, everyone apart from Nicola had left the room. I smiled at Nicola, who was wiping her own tears away. Madison suddenly stood and rushed over to Nicola, hugging her tightly before taking off and running into the kitchen. We could hear her excited squeals as she told them all that i was her dad. I couldnt help but laugh and even caught Nicola laughing. Shes beautiful love, just like you i smirked as i stood and held a hand out to her. Tom! Nicola, breathed deeply then looked up at me She looks like Emma, from what i can remember?. Yes, she does...........Nicola I started as she smiled up at me, making my breath hitch in my throat I really want to be part of her life, and yours.......I know its to late for......but cant we be friends? before she could answer, Madison was back and took my hand. Pulling me towards the stairs. Come on daddy, I want to show you my room. And my special book she sang as she climbed the stairs. I looked over at Nicola waiting for confirmation that i could follow, she nodded and i followed Madison up. When i entered her room, it was not what i had expected. I guess i thought all little girls liked pink and Disney Princess, but Madisons room was green with gold and black curtains, black carpet and a Loki bedspread over an Avengers duvet. All around the room she had Marvel figures of all of us. Thats when i suddenly remembered that Nicola, had asked Madison if she remembered both Chriss. What do you think daddy? Madison asked me, grinning from ear to ear. I smiled down at her, then picked her up and started tickling her. Hearing her laugh, was fantastic. She laughed just like me and i could tell she had my sense of humour as well. I placed her back on her feet and she rushed over to her bed and pulled out a book from underneath it. What is this darling? I laughed as she sat down in my lap on the floor. This is my scrap book of you, mummy told me all about you. I hope you dont mind sir! she said looking up at me. My heart swelled as i looked deep into her blue eyes, and was just blown away at how polite she was. I dont mind one bit darling. We looked through her book, every article i had been in was in this book, she even had three tickets for Coriolanus. Did mummy bring you to see my show?. Yes. But i wasnt allowed to see you then Madison stood and placed the book back under her bed, then looked back at me with tears in her eyes. I moved closer to her and once again wiped her tears away. Why did you leave mummy, didnt you love her? didnt you love me?. I didnt know where to look, i felt that in that second, i had let her down. I loved mummy very much, i still do. But things where hard then, because of my work. Also i didnt know about you until today, If i had known sooner believe me darling, I would of been in your life sooner. So i want to make it up to you, if you will let me? I declared as she blinked up at me. She smiled and then hugged me tightly. I want to let you daddy, ehehehehe she laughed. Madison grabbed her IPad off of the side and took a photo of the two of us, I then took my phone out and snapped a few as well, she giggled as we pulled faces in some of them, i even managed to catch video of her saying hello to me. After a while she became tired, so i wrapped her tightly in my lap and told her the story of The Jungle Book. I knew that story inside out, soon Madison was fast asleep in my arms, so i lifted her and placed her in her bed. just as i kissed her forehead, Nicola entered the room. I just smiled and tucked some of her curls behind her ear. I kissed her again then followed Nicola out. Thank you, Nicola. I meant what i said downstairs, plus i know my family would love to meet her I said as we headed downstairs. She stopped at the bottom and turned to look up at me. Tom. Ive wanted this since i first found out i was pregnant, but dont rush it. It would be best if we both met with your family first. Can you imagine how your mum will act? do you think she might be mad at me for keeping Madison secret from her?. No, she wont be mad at you! me? well thats another story she laughed. Love, will you give me an answer please? I asked again. I want you to be in Madisons life Tom and.........and i hope we can be friends. Look tomorrow is Saturday. Well go see your mum and then maybe we can take Madison out together. Just know im still mad about the kiss. I love Taron she remarked. As we drove away, I looked over my phone at the photos of myself and Madison, choosing one as my new homepage. I decided to ask the guys when had they met Madison before. Can you two tell me something?. Sure they replied together. When did you both meet Madison? Did you know she was mine? I questioned. They both looked at each other, Evans looked over his shoulder at me while Hemsworth glanced at me in the rear view mirror. We met Madison, whilst filming Avengers two. Nicola brought her along during the summer. We also met Taron, hes a good bloke Tom. And to answer your other question........no we never knew that she was yours, We promise. After being dropped off, I entered my apartment as my phone pinged for a text. Daddy. Thank you for coming to see me tonight, I really enjoyed it. I hope i am going to see you again tomorrow? Good night daddy. Love you. xxxx Love Madison. I smiled to myself and quickly replied. Dearest Madison. I am very lucky to meet you and look forward to getting to know you more. Yes i will see you tomorrow. Good night Princess. I love you too. xxxx Love Daddy. As the message sent, i still couldnt believe it. I couldnt wait to see her again.
