Palmawatch, one of Mallorcas premier Yacht Service Providers has completed a comprehensive list of maintenance tasks on the 1964 built former 36 metre motor trawler ‘Drenec,’ and the vessel has now departed Palma on its way to Reykjavik in Iceland after passing by Oran and Portugal. The below list of jobs on the Drenec project is a fine example of the breadth of services, reliability and flexibility that Palmawatch has developed its reputation around since 2002. * Sandblast bottom. * Epoxy primer applications. * Antifouling application to hull and propellers. * Re-paint and modify red boot topping. * Replace all anodes. * Make new studs for 4 extra anodes. * Weld hull plates. * Manufacture steel deck fuel box. * Organise emptying of bilges. * Replace gear box oil cooler by another model + modify all inlet and outlet piping + fabricate new flanges + add 2 3 way by-pass valves + fabricate strainer filter for sea water inlet. * Service heat exchanger on main engine. * Replace various engine pipes. * Repair tender and service Yamaha outboard. * Install new surveillance camera. * Replace Raymarine windvane. * Set up new router. * Supply 50 paper charts and 5 flags * Service central heating boiler and air conditioning * Fixed crane electrical problem * Organised hull ultrasonic survey * Supply of various materials.
