Pastors Moment: You cannot please everyone, neither can you save everyone. I have learnt over the last few months that there will always be a group of people you will never satisfy no matter what you do. They will always look for a speck and blow it to a major issue. Most importantly and underline this one,we break long term, beautiful and promising relationships mostly on flimsy grounds, taking very little time to place the mistake in the context of many other good things. That was the lesson from Moses life...despite sacrificing his life and heeding Gods call, the children of Israel who he freed from slavery complained about him and even attempted to replace him. They had seen him pray for food and it fell in the form of Manna, they had seen Gods handwriting in the form of commandments, they had seen the Red sea part, but hey when one slight delay happened they wanted him replaced, they even carved a calf to worship. It was the same with Jesus, they saw people get healed for just touching his cloak, others ressurected, he even fed thousands with little food, turned water into wine before their eyes, but given the choice they chose the thief. The lesson is do not measure success via mass approval, make sure they see what you can do,but do not spend time trying to win approval. I have always held that making mistakes is not fatal, fearing to do something for fear of making a mistake is what is actually fatal. Every time at work or in a relationship you feel like quitting take one minute and write the good and compare it with the bad, weigh them and if they are issues of the same weight ask yourself if giving up is the solution. Most times you will find out we quit relationships because of very petty issues that can be solved in the easiest of ways, but mass approval has replaced our sense. proverbs Chapter 4:25-27 instructs, Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you, make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. do not swerve to the right or the left, keep your feet from evil. God Bless You and Keep You
