Patychky So...for all of you who asked for my patychky recipe, here it is: Cut a large pork tenderloin into bite size pieces. Chop up one or two (or more) heads of garlic and mix them with a bottle of beer for the marinade. Place the diced tenderloin into a large bowl and mix well with the marinade. Let the pork marinate for at least 24 hours. Put the pork onto wooden skewers (you can get these at most Ukie or Polish delis). Beat four or five eggs in a shallow large bowl and fill a second one with bread crumbs. Take each skewer of pork, roll it in the breadcrumbs, then dip it in the beaten eggs and then coat a second time in the breadcrumbs. Fry the skewers four or five at a time in a large frying pan to which you have added a generous amount of oil (canola works best). You only need to fry them a few minutes, turning them frequently until they are brown. Set aside until all are fried. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Take a large deep casserole dish and line the bottom of it with sliced onions. Fill the casserole with your skewers, arranging them so that they stand vertically in the casserole dish. Bake for approx. 50 - 60 minutes. Remove from oven and enjoy.
