Pay Limits for School Superintendents Expire in 2016: The Joint - TopicsExpress

Pay Limits for School Superintendents Expire in 2016: The Joint Committee on Public Schools is holding a hearing today to discuss next steps. Based on the list of those scheduled to testify (NJ Association of School Administrators, NJ Principals and Supervisors & Garden State Coalition of Schools), it looks like it will be a one-sided discussion. The big argument against the pay limits is that NJ is losing experienced chief school administrators to other states. If a school superintendent believes a cap of $175,000 (not including negotiated perks) to be too low, he/she should move on - keeping in mind that the Governor of NJ earns $175,000 per year. njspotlight/stories/14/09/15/school-superintendent-salary-caps-under-discussion-again/
