‘Pay Our Salaries Or We Embark On Strike Action– NASU Tells FG Posted by: Channels Television Posted date: September 26, 2013 In: Local | comment : 0 Comments The National Executive Council of the Non-Academic Staff Union of educational and associated institutions (NASU) has given the Federal Government till Thursday October 3rd to release and order the payment of the August and September salaries of their colleagues in Federal Universities, failure of which the Union will embark on a strike action. The National President of the Union, Mr Ladi Iliya disclosed this while briefing journalists on the communique of the union at the end of their meeting held in Ilorin. According to Mr Iliya, the Union felt betrayed by the silence of the Federal Government on the need to pay their salaries despite not being on strike. She also queried why the union should enquire reasons behind the non-payment of the salaries, since it is their right to get paid their wages.
