Pendleton County had a very successful disaster preparedness drill today. Every emergency response agency from Falmouth, Butler, and the County had representatives who worked together along with citizen volunteers, church groups, city and county leaders, mine rescue teams, AMTRAK and CSX railroad to overcome a simulated passenger train derailment. Coordination among all these agencies and the training they gained will be invaluable to preparing for and responding to any disaster situation where a lot of victims are involved. Thanks to all who donated part of their weekend to participate in this large scale training event...who took the time and worked together toward being better prepared.
