People I am so jacked up on life right now you have no idea how great it feels! I have some great news to tell today, I got a copy of the Spring 2012 catalog for Crossroad Journal of the Arts and guess whose poetry is in the catalog, thats right yours truly! I am in an art magazine and the work is in the Art Gallery in Grand Rapids Michigan. How great is that! The poem that won is called Satan You Have Mail, if you would like to read it for yourself go to poetry and look it up under Troy Allen Houston. I give my Lord and Savior and God all the glory! dated April 2012 Hard to believe this was two years ago! Now I have been published in 20 different books, three magazines and a law review journal, I also have a book deal with a major publisher, and I have finished my latest book that is sought out by three different publishers wanting to make another book deal. On October 20th 2010 I wrote my first poem to my niece, Danielle Arnoux, through her persistence and good nature she convinced me to keep writing. I have written 40 group Bible studies, several papers on various subjects, 594 poems of which 280 of them are in my first book, Gods Rhyme Time, to which I have a 20 page contract with a publisher. I have also written a self help book on addiction,called, From Addiction to God that is being sought out by three different major publishers, one from New York, California, and Pennsylvanian, I have also started on a novel based on a true event in the world, and I have several other book ideas that I have been working on in my spare time of being an Organic Farmer/maintenance man growing and selling veggies and fruit. Been a busy guy this last couple of years if I dont say so myself. lol I give all the glory to my God and Father in heaven, YHVH. I also give the people that God has put into my life, or back into my life credit due to. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement from all my family and friends! You know who you are thanks for not giving up on me when I had given up on myself. I love you!
