People are asking what it takes to have a team, I have outlined that below: FIRST Wear Identifying clothing.. Northwest Battle Buddies T shirts or Sweatshirts Please YOU will be representing Northwest Battle Buddies out there and we want folks to know about us. Get your Door hangers, flyers and other documents from Mans Best Friend Kennel in Battle Ground or e mail Grace for information. GOAL MINIMUM 80,000 lbs = $16,000.00 ONE TRAINED SERVICE DOG! Gift for Veteran for Christmas= 10 teams of 10 people (You create your team) 10 people 8000 lbs = 800 lbs each = 80 bags per person 20 people per team 400 lbs each = 40 bags per person etc. Teams going door to door must go in pairs and write date of pick up on the door hanger . Collect when you say you will and keep track for no duplications. Drop boxes and drop locations can be part of your team’s donations. You will be responsible for pick up of items You can create competitions between businesses to see who collects the most bags of clothes per business Your role in this is to go often, collect the clothes into Tall Kitchen bags for easy counting and handling. Take to a dry place, keep a tally of the bags and let Grace and Barb know the number so that Grace can update the web about the contest and keep an accurate count. Bring to collection on December 20th to Westfield Mall from 9-3:30 or arrange for your donations to be picked up through Grace or Barb by the 18th. We Will need some volunteers to help on the day of the event to collect last minute donations/truck and vans helpful/ and help with loading and unloading ( hence the 10 lb bags) Communication is KEY we need to know how many semi-trucks to come get our donations!
