People are so judgemental...when we got Layne to foster him, the state put him on WIC. Not that we cant afford to buy his formula, but I think its great that they take care of the kids who r in their custody. But people...when Im checking out at Wal Mart with the WIC thing & putting all that formula & now baby food (woo Hoo) on the counter, I see people looking like really? They look at the other stuff in my buggy & on the counter that Im buying. Judging me, like really, she is buying all that other stuff & on WIC??? Lol I just smile really big at them & most will just turn their head away, some will smile back a little. But we shouldnt judge every one we see like that. We have no idea what is happening in their life. The lady in front of u using WIC may have foster kids at home who are other wise homeless, she may have been an abused wife who finally got the back bone to leave her abusive husband & is struggling to take care of her kids, she may be a mother who made the mistake of marrying a dead beat who wont take care of her & their kids & she works a 40 hour job & its still not Enuff, so she needs help with WIC or food stamps. Not every one on assistance is a lazy free loader. So be kind. U just never know what is happening in their life.
