People often ask why were moving to Flagstaff at some point and why we go up there frequently. The first few pictures are of Kreed in Phoenix. Kreed has MANY medical issues besides autism. One of them is POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) which means his heart rate sky rockets (up to 180/200) when he stands and causes other issues such as body temp control, or blood pressure and Peripheral Neuropathy which causes him extreme pain on a daily basis. So although we post videos and pictures of Kreed in Phoenix, those are the only time he stands. The rest of the time he lays like you see. Except at about 10pm- he becomes the most awake. Its heartbreaking. We often have to wake up throughout the night to check on him because he will get up and find a floor to lay on because the pain is so bad. In Flagstaff...the pics speak for themselves. He is FREE. For whatever reason the combination of being 7000 feet in the air and a significant temperature change- makes his whole body feel better. He is active, he is communicative, he argues haha, he wants to be up, he wants to be super active. How could we not eventually move there? Or take him up there as much as humanly possible. The pain we see him in daily...kills me. I try to be upbeat- but the Pics speak for themselves- he will lay like that for hours even if I try to get him up- doesnt care about movies or books- nothing. Words cant describe. So thats why Flagstaff....
