People think their job requires going into work, doing the job, - TopicsExpress

People think their job requires going into work, doing the job, and getting paid. But not my job. Ive learned so much more from this man than any job has taught me and its priceless... October 19th 2000 George woke up in a hospital bed after speeding 95lbs drinking And driving. Paralyzed from the neck down, George was told he would never be able to talk or walk again. 14 years later he proved them wrong and has a voice, still Praying that one day, he will walk again. He Never gives up, patiently teaching me more than this being just another job. Its being that support system, taking his goals to heart and making sure each is accomplished realizing its putting yourself last, even if it means just being there. Its building a friendship on trust risking his life taking that responsibility. Proving daily that i have his back, even if it means spending time on a Friday night so hes not alone. Joking around earlier today, I told George to prepare himself now for when the time comes i ask him to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day. . he said he might not be able to walk me down the aisle but he will gladly roll down the aisle beside me. Lol. But i believe in him with all jokes aside, giving up and walking away is not an option for me because it is possible... (Or i wont be getting married.) so its gonna happen lol. After hours of laughter and tears shed, at the end of the day he knows i did the best I could and with this life changing experience, its opened my eyes. George knew before i did that inside this stubborn Girl is an achiever who believed in him and wouldnt give up. My job.. Is more than a job. Its a chance to inspire and be inspired.
