People using the phrase no one is perfect as an excuse to slack off and as a reason for their obviously careless mistakes wich r almost always consistent need to know theres a clear diff btw growing up and just growing old. The former knows that he must take extra caution in his choice of words,actions,and decisions. He knows that he must learn to analyze the probable future consequences of his present decisions,he knows not only how to take full responsiblity for the results of his actions(rather than pushing the blame on others) but to take calculated steps to ensure they dont repeat themselves,he knows when to talk,how to talk,and when to keep quiet but most importantly,he knows that more often than not,first impression always matter most,because thats the reference point you will be related to. The latter on the other hand does not even have knowledge of all this and may even see no reason to possess it
