People who know me know that I love to share little shiny You Are Beautiful stickers whenever I can. While many folks are uncomfortable enough with this that they make fun of me, Ive found that giving these to others has been nothing less than gifting to myself every time. I received such a gift yesterday in the Atlanta airport when a lady came off our flight in a wheelchair. The attendant walked away and left her just sitting alone, and she kept looking around as if she was a bit worried. I pulled out a YAB sticker from my purse and walked over to her, only to notice that she had a trache tube and appeared to have suffered facial burns with some reconstruction. When I handed her the sticker, she just melted and smiled, and then she signed (American Sign Language) thank you with such a sweet smile and teary eyes. I signed back, You are beautiful and Love you. The emotion in her eyes was just overwhelming to me. I felt so inconceivably rewarded to be allowed to make her feel perhaps just a bit happier. YOU HAVE THE POWER to make someones day a little brighter! This little sticker can do so much good. I urge you to get some at you-are-beautiful and share them with as many people as you can. Step out of your comfort zone! (They are a big hit with all the Publix and Whole Foods Market cashiers too!)
