People whom I met, who lived in the hostels were having very strong personalities and stand to what they said. Their personal experiences made them and teaches them to be one. I got 3 roomies, 2 koreans but 1 with German Passport who lived in Jakarta, another was a student who lived in Australia. Both have different purposes of visiting Singapore while d other smart lady originally from Pakistan but lived in Chicago. These type of people when you asked them where they from they will tell you first where they originally from then but I live in ...... And I learned to do the same. It gives u an edge to say: Im from Philippines but I lived in UAE then they got more interested on you. Lol! I dont understand how people from the world has so much regard about UAE. Sometimes I got amazed when they said, its so expensive to live in Dubai!.... Seriously, I found Singapore is more expensive but this lady from Germany, who live in Jakarta said that it is much more expensive. The separation between the rich and the poor is so distinct. Well, how could I say... never had the chance to go to Indonesia yet.... I found that asians are more open and friendly than people from west. They are polite but seldom to verbalized their feeling not unless you get along with them for sometimes. Compared to asian, stories about their husband, families down to their friends... Personal experiences I should say..... I am not saying this from my own perpectives its from them as I am learning from them. Hahahha But with Yvette, my buddy in Bangkok was really good. I end up just socializing in a coffee shop, walked with no plan for d the day..,, I end up doing nothing but still enjoy her company.
