Phill & I went to the Stop the cull of sharks protest at the back beach in Bunbury this morning. First one in my life, but I believe we shouldnt kill an animal, just because its trying to survive in its own environment. Humans go into the water for their own enjoyment, but thats where the shark lives & works for it food. WE as a human race kill thousands of them, but they dont kill people in revenge, humans do. The premier Barnett is a man only concerned with the dollars lost from the tourist & not the long term effect of the damage killing a top predator of the oceans will do to the balance of the ecosystem. Barnett is a man, when asked why the government isnt considering tidal power as an alternative source of power, said (may not be the exact words, it was a few years ago now) the tide couldnt be trusted, that is a ridiculous statement.
