Major responsibilities of the position include: provide first assist surgical support to orthopaedic physicians; assist patients in clinical settings in various venues (i.e. office, hospital in-patient, rehabilitation and emergency); join a team of six PAs to provide call and weekend support to seven surgeons; conduct pre-surgical history and physical exams as well as see patients in follow-up to surgery.
