Pierpaolo here... There has been a lot of interest and talk about the new 27.5 wheel-size for mountain bikes and we here at the shop really are enjoying them. Having ridden a 26 and 29er for sometime I can say that I really like the 27.5, you have all the advantages of both sizes; it tracks well, it rolls over obstacles with ease, but when you need to accelerate the 27.5 gets up and goes! I took out the Spark 27.5 today for some time around Annadel. It ate the climbs and shredded the descents, and for being an XC bike the 120mm travel and twin-loc technology gives you more or less travel when you need it at the push of a button. This is a super fast, plush bike capable of all day excursions! Scott Bikes has been at the forefront of 27.5 (and 29) with their Genius and Spark lines and since we brought in Scott I have had the opportunity to ride both and I can honestly say they are truly awesome bikes! We only carry and ride the highest quality and Scott definitely fits the bill. If you havent already, come down to the shop and check them out we have the Genius and Spark lines in 27.5 and 29! Im just really excited about Scott Bikes! One last bit...if you havent gone tubeless yet come down to the shop and well get you set up, its totally worth it!
