Please dont get confused by commercials claiming Net Neutrality is evil just because President Obama supports It. Providers want to regulate just how much internet speed people and business can get. If you enjoy videos on YouTube NOW, without paying a premium to Verizon or Comcast, you might get one frame at a time. Even being on Facebook would become insanely worthless because each click would be Incredibly SLOW..unless you want to pay a lot more for the lnternet than you all already do. For whatever its worth, the cable providers are starting to lose out to people, like me, who cut the cable cord. Most have chosen using their internet, which they already pay for, and get a Roku device for a $69-$99 one-time charge, or an Amazon Fire device for a $99 one-time charge. Then, they can STREAM Netflix, Comedy Central, and a host of other avenues of programming directly to their TV. When I visited Colleen & Nick this summer in Nevada, we watched TV through their Amazon Fire. I had no idea thats how we saw TV until they told me. When I came home, I discontinued DirecTV. For one, I rarely watch, and for two, I paid $45/month (bundled Verizon package with bad Internet) to rarely watch TV, and three, DirecTV got to decide what I paid for.
