Please forgive me in advance if this sounds petty, but it is one of those things that needs to be said because I have witnessed the harm it has done to really great people who have the capabilities to make positive, profound, productive advances in society on many levels. Be wary of cliques, especially those found amongst women, sad to say. There always seems to be a self-imposed leader of specific groups of women who still believe in pecking orders and do not believe in the strength, power, and individuality that every person possesses (whether they are aware of it or not). Not sure if these so-called leaders have problems with jealousy or insecurity, but I see how adversely it has affected and continues to affect many terrific human beings - men included. I know that when I meet such women, I am the first to put them in line - WHEREVER AND WHENEVER, but not everyone can or even wants to do that, especially if this happens on the job. If more women helped to make our communities stronger and more effective to combat serious social ills instead of hurting each other, imagine how fabulous our world would be!
