Please pray with me for the contemporary Netherlands. The Netherlands (also informally called Holland) was through the sixteenth to twentieth centuries a country where Calvinism has remarkably flourished and perhaps has no historical comparative on this point. Unfortunately, the sovereign states government and society as a whole have submitted to the piety nullifying process of secularization like most of the Western world. There remains a vibrant Reformed community in the Netherlands but the progressives and irreligious often filter the awareness of it out. I desire to see Calvinism and better yet, biblical Christianity regain and even surpass the status it had in the among the Dutch people in times past. Please pray that this breakthrough will happen in the Netherlands; that sinners repent and be granted the gift of saving faith to place on Jesus Christ. Pray also for the sanctification of the believers in the Netherlands and that they will grow in biblical knowledge. Pray the same for the places the Dutch affected during the period of European colonization. Dank u. (Thank you.)
