I hope for a negotiated peace in Afghanistan after wrongs of attacks on negotiators there: Afghanistan needs national unity, yet there are similarities to the end of the Korean War in 1953 in a conservative defense era. I am working on the text of a message to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs to ask them to encourage President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to study improved international trade, polling, and peace: Thomas Pritzker gave a speech there and I want to praise the work of U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritkzer and, with respect for her need for cooperation on improving economic prosperity, already called on Peace and Collaborative Development Network for President Obama to praise the bipartisan work of U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-Washington) and U.S. Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) on the December budget agreement in the tradition of Chicago business admiration for bipartisan cooperation in policies of President Kennedy, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Philip Klutznick of the Carter Administration, and U.S. Secretary of Commerce William Daley of the Clinton era. I got many e-mails and messages including Speaker Boehners e-mails for education ( and I intend to discuss these with Notre Dame and Georgetown where I went) yet I intend to concentrate on State of the Union speech issues today and tomorrow.
