Please tell everyone this.... There are no accurate words to describe what the Los Cabos Community has endured since hurricane Odile hit us on the night of September 14th, 2014. The effects of the hurricane were horrible, the looting was a nightmare & the aftermath of pure fear, chaos & psychosis was hell. We lived in the complete pitch darkness with no electricity or water for 10 horribly long nights. Because we are a Peninsula it took 4 days for Military, Marines & the Federal Police to come in & restore order. We had martial law for a nights after that where no one could be on streets after 9:00 pm. It was desperate need for survival at its worst & at its best all wrapped into one, almost like watching a movie where the end of the world was coming. Mother nature ripped through Los Cabos, she favored noone & pardoned noone. Not one person or animal was left unaffected. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has already set in for most of us! Remember that this can happen anywhere around the world. A natural disaster is something that cannot be explained. The words heart broken, loss, death, trauma, devastation, mother nature at its worst, chaos, confusion, fear, anguish, suffering, sadness & pure hell come to my mind. But the words courage, strength, kindness, compassion, teamwork, hope, community & love come to mind. We are not only picking up the broken pieces of the community, but also picking up the broken pieces within ourselves. Cabo has a special spirit & if you have been here you know what I mean. We are thankful to each & every one of you for your support, kindness & love. We welcome you with open arms. Come & visit us, we are STRONGER & BRIGHTER THAN EVER!
