Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a café in Bankstown early this morning. About 1:35am, Wednesday 3 December 2014, officers from Fire & Rescue NSW were called to a café on Featherstone Street following reports of a fire. Upon arrival they found the premises well alight but nobody inside. The fire was extinguished and police were called to the scene. A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers with the blaze being treated as suspicious. Detectives from Bankstown Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the fire and urge anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
