Police crackdown on JKLF… JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik, advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, and many other arrested in various police raids…… Indian and its Kashmiri stooges instead of showing some humanity or humility towards flood devastated people, imposed election drama on them……. By announcing elections after fold devastation, India and its Kashmiri stooges have actually shown their tyrant, careless and callous face and Kashmiris as in past will reject this election drama: Yasin Malik SRINAGAR // police has started a crackdown against JKLF throughout Kashmir and dozens of JKLF leaders including chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik have been arrested by police and forces. Police today raided the temporary office of JKLF at Abi Guzar and arrested JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik . Police also arrested vice chairman JKLF advocate basher ahmad bhat, secretary general Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, deputy organizer JKLF Mir Siraj ud din Davood, district president Kupwara Mohammad Rafiq war, district president Budgam Gulzar Ahmad Bhat Pahalwan, district secretary Kulgam Nazir Nhmad Rather, activists Mohammad Jammal Dar and Abdul Ahad Ganai from Tengmarg in nocturnal raids. Police also raided the residences of Reyaz Ahmad Gujri ( Bitta Guru) , JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather( Boya), Mushtaq Ahmad Koreg Ganderbal, Habib ullah Dar Ialahi Bagh and many others . Police have also arrested pro freedom leaders like Syed Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari, Zafar Akbar Bhat ,Ayaz Akbar and many others during nocturnal raids. Before his arrest JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik while talking to JKLF party leaders said that that boycotting polls is legitimate under the purview of legal and democratic set-up. He said that the crackdown on Kashmir’s pro-freedom leadership actually vindicates the fact that India and its Kashmiri puppets have conceded the defeat long before the battle. Malik sahib who has been lodged at police station Kothibagh said that democracy is termed as the battle of ideas and ideologies .Also freedom of expression is reckoned as the basic right of every individual in today’s modern world .He said that To vote or to boycott is the basic right of every person but to inflict torture of worst nature upon the people who boycott fraudulent elections and to restrict their movements is in itself the negation of democratic norms and rights that cannot be termed but as most undemocratic and uncivilized . Malik sahib said that Kashmir was devastated by a severe flood recently. Hundreds of our people lost their lives and millions are today homeless and compelled to live under open skies. Our markets and business has been trashed to rubble and every human here is suffering from a trauma like situation. With severe winters knocking at our doors in these hard times, Kashmiris especially those affected directly by floods are actually fighting for their survival. He said that these hard times demanded sincere and apolitical humanitarian efforts for the welfare of flood hit people but Indian state and its Kashmiri stooges instead of showing some humanity or humility towards flood devastated people, imposed election drama on them. Yasin sahib said that by announcing elections in these circumstances, India and its Kashmiri stooges have actually shown their tyrant, careless and callous face and Kashmiris as in past will surely reject this election drama. He said that it was pro freedom parties and leaders who selflessly and tirelessly worked for the welfare of flood devastated Kashmiris and showed their care for the common people. Malik sahib while commenting on the arrests and crackdown on pro freedom camp said that throughout the world, the people are given the chance to express their ideas and opinions before the masses in a free way but in Jammu Kashmir, India, which claims to be the biggest democracy of the world and also terms election held time to time in Jammu Kashmir as fair, free and full of participation, is actually acting in Hitler’s style, negating the people of Jammu Kashmir every basic right to choose what they want. This has exposed the hollowness of India’s democratic claims .He said that India on one hand claims to uphold the values of fair-play and democracy but actually undermines the aspiration of the people and inflicts torture on them. He said that these arrests and crackdowns have once again unmasked the hollowness on Indian claims and their puppet regime in kashmir. Malik stated that the pro-India parties here including NC, Congress, PDP, BJP, and CPI and others including independents participating in these elections are being funded by India’s home ministry. Indian forces and institutions facilitate their campaign and even people’s participation in their public rallies is ensured by these forces. But on the other hand freedom camp is denied all its rights, they are being harassed, arrested, jailed, tortured and subjected to every kind of oppression by the state. The irony is that after caging down the whole freedom camp, Indian prime minister from Lal Qilla and other leaders and officers claim victory and propagate elections as people’s verdict. Yasin Malik said that this is no victory but a clear defeat of India and its puppets in Jammu Kashmir. If India and its Kashmiri stooges believe in real democracy they should instead of arresting and harassing freedom camp provide them an even playing field and let the people of Jammu Kashmir decide what they want. Yasin Malik said that jail is second home for freedom camp and people in this camp have spent years in jails. Therefore intimidating them by the threats of jails and arrests cannot deter them from perusing the path of freedom and truth. He said that anybody who is dreaming to frighten the freedom lovers is living in a fool’s paradise as this only show and indicates that Indian state and its puppets have conceded defeat even before the match. Malik sahib said that the history of Jammu Kashmir bears a witness to the fact that pro- India politicians and parties here have always asked for our votes in the name of electricity, water, jobs and roads etc but have always used this for snatching our freedom, strengthening the clutches of tyranny and oppression on the people of Jammu Kashmir and for legislating and enactment of black laws . Therefore taking part in these elections in any name cannot be termed but as worst enmity with Kashmir and Kashmiris. While deliberating on the history of elections in Jammu Kashmir, Yasin Malik said that although these elections for assembly or parliament are fought in the name of electricity, roads, employments and water etc but the fact is that people after being elected have always used this vote to undermine the freedom movement of Jammu Kashmir and for nourishing the interests of India. He said that the elections held from 15th October 1951 till date and the assembly that came into existence after these elections served this interest of India .these elections are only to safe guard Indian interests and that is why despite flood devastations Indian government and its Kashmiri stooges have not shied away from conducting this drama. Yasin sahib said that today pro India parties and their agents especially PDP, NC, INC and others are telling Kashmiris to vote because our boycott may help BJP to gain power in Kashmir. This gimmick is being spread to hoodwink kashmiris and befool them .we want to ask these people that what have they done when in power except implementing the aims and dictates of their masters in Delhi and how will be BJP or anybody else rule different from theirs. Yasin Malik appealed the people of Jammu Kashmir to show resilience and wisdom and not to get deceived by these kinds of slogans. we as a living nation will have to safeguard the sacrifices rendered by us and our beloved martyrs and for that we all will have to keep away from these Indian elections and voting’s, added Yasin Malik Ends
