Pope Francis will preside at a nuptial Mass this weekend at St. Peters in which he will officiate at the wedding of 20 couples. The breaking news this week is that several of the couples are already living together, and some already have children. That simply means that Pope Francis will be dealing with a pastoral situation known to every single parish priest in the known universe. The Church invites all her children to regularize their family situation. If you are a Catholic in such a situation, do not hesitate to approach a priest or deacon and begin the process that leads to a Sacramental marriage.
