Position available for Assistant Professor of Archaeology, Tenure Track- Utah State University The Anthropology Program in the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology at Utah State University invites applications for a 9 month, tenure-track position in Archaeology at the Assistant Professor level. Areas of interest should complement those of the current faculty and might include (but are not limited to) ethnoarchaeology, historic archaeology, lithics, and/or paleoethnobotany. Applicants with a record of research in an explicitly scientific paradigm such as Human Behavioral Ecology, and a research record in the archaeology of the western United States are encouraged to apply. We seek a broadly trained, anthropological archaeologist interested in and able to teach anthropological theory at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should be prepared to: teach undergraduate and graduate courses in archaeology; develop/pursue a research program in Utah or surrounding regions consistent with the Masters degree program in Archaeology and CRM; pursue external research grants and contracts; and provide service to the department and the profession.
