Lecturer in Philosophy and Religion £30,728 to £34,565 per annum, pro rata 0.5fte The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences seeks to appoint an outstanding academic to a 0.5fte lectureship in Philosophy and Religion within the Department of Theology and Religious Studies (TRS). The Department is preparing to launch a newly-validated undergraduate programme in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics, and the person appointed will make a key contribution to the academic development of that programme. Candidates with research expertise in most areas of Philosophy may be considered, but the willingness and demonstrable ability to explore the interactions of Philosophy with Theology and/or Religious Studies are essential. The person appointed will be an outstanding teacher, and will have the demonstrable potential to publish internationally excellent research, develop strong individual or collaborative applications for external research funding and attract and supervise high-quality research students.
