Prayers for my Sassy girl. This pic of her on the floor is this morning at 730 I went out and found her unable to use her back legs or tail. Took her to the vet and were given two possibilities both with sad out comes. One she may have thrown a blood clot that has ended up in her spinal chord paralyzing her and it will only get worse and is apparently extremely painful. The Dr. Was not convinced this was the case and felt that she probably has a blown disk in her spine. With extensive surgery we stand a 50/50 of recovery unfortunately that is a cost that is just not doable nor was it encouraged due to her age. He gave us the choice to sedate her and give her steroids and anti inflamatories and see if maybe she would recover If It was a disk issue, then we had the choice to let her be at peace and relieve her of the trauma, fear and pain she was experiencing. We chose to see if the meds will help. We are praying for her to re cover and know that the odds are slim....the vet even felt as such but was willing to give it a try. We love this little girl and she has been a part of our family for 14 years. She has blessed so many lives with her talkative nature, love and purrs. Please most of all pray she stays out of pain and that perhaps if she is unable to recover that she falls asleep this evening and is at final peace. I hate the point of having to make that final decision.
