Prayers needed for our dear Annie girl who has overcome so many obstacles since her rescue over a year ago. She has remained in foster care due to her health. She and her spirit have remained happy and strong. She is playful and loving. She over a year ago had 2 mast cell tumors removed, shortly after that was bit by a brown recluse spider and nearly lost her leg and possibly died. But, no. Not Annie. She is a fighter and has every right to want to live. Annie was rescued from south Miami from a home where she was continuously beat by her owner (a very large man) she was being kicked by her owner the day a by-passer/neighbor walked by, because she wouldnt get up and walk. After repeatedly kicking her she got up and broke loose of her leash and the young girl ran into her house with Annie. The man said if she returns he will kill her. Well, its been over a year of medical, rehabilitation and lots and lots of love from her foster dad and the help of many GRs folks like yourselves that have kept Annie wagging and happy. She really had not enjoyed her first eight years but her 9th has been a dream. Tomorrow we will be speaking with Dr Coorea at the Animal Cancer Care Clinic. Annie, has a mast cell tumor growth on her rear leg/foot. The lump came out of nowhere --sudden --and its fairly large test results came back today as mast cell tumor - positive :( We will do what we can to not only keep her comfortable but offer her whatever Dr Coorea suggest. The problem this time is the location of where the tumor exist and its size. It is hard to operate like the first two on her back due to lack of skin tissue. Please pray for her and her healing while we wait for more answers. Thank you for all youve done for her and all the rest of our rescues. As you know, I will not give up on her until shes ready.
