President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR today in Abuja declared open the e-Nigeria 2014 conference. eNigeria is an annual ICT Summit organised by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) under the supervision of the Ministry of Communication Technology. The theme of eNigeria 2014 is Creating market opportunities for indigenous IT products and services, while the sub theme is showcasing indigenous IT innovation for national development, value addition, wealth creation & job creation. Another sub theme is strategies for enhancing the quality of made in Nigeria goods & services, building IT entrepreneurs and human capital in Nigeria. President Jonathan represented by the Minister of Communication Technology, Dr Omobola Johnson reiterated that the success of Nigeria’s ICT local content initiative will depend on the deliberate and market driven opportunities through which Nigerian ICT products and services can be delivered.
