Press Note Ghar Adhikar Sangharsh Morcha (GASM) Today nearly 200 members of Ghar Adhikar Sangharsh Morcha meet the Chandigarh M.P. at her residence in sector-8A and submit their memorandum regarding the problems faced by the colony people. This meet was regarding the problems of the transit colony people which are living in sector-52. The problems are stated as under: 1. Even though we were living in the colonies but no houses were alotted to us due to various exclusive measures of the scheme and now we are not even considered the residents of the transit colony. Everyday the policemen from the local station threaten us that will evict us from the transit camp. Madam, we want that we must be considered as the regular citizens of the transit camp. 2. Though we have been living here in the transit camp from last 6 months but the camp lack even the most basic amenities. The streetlights are not working, the streets are full of waste, the toilets here are without even doors and even there is lack of potable water. 3. The lumpen activities in the colonies are on a steep rise and even the policemen stationed here don’t make any attempt to stop the erring people. Some boys move with swords in the broad daylight and break the locks of the houses to steal things. Also, they pass vulgar remarks on ladies and girls, eve teasing is as common. To loot and threaten people in the night is a common practice for them. Now a days even liqour is openly sold in the colony. We demand that all these activities must be stopped. 4. The service of electricity is made available through a private contractor which is even costlier than is made publicly available though govt. and even the bills are sent arbitrarily. We demand that electricity should be made available to us through govt. 5. Provisions shall be made for health facilities and Aanganwari. 6. At the ration shop we are denied ration on the cards of 5 No. Colony which must be started immediately. 7. The bridge that connects the colony to the Kajheri is severely damaged and if not repaired immediately, might lead to some unfortunate accident. Convener, Ghar Adhikar Sangharsh Morcha (GASM) Sachinderpal Singh (Pali) Mobile No. – 9814507116 प्रेस नोट (घर अधिकार संघर्ष मोर्चा) आज घर अधिकार संघर्ष मोर्चा के लगभग 200 सदस्य सेक्टर-52 के टिन-शेड़ में रहने वाले लोगों की समस्याओं को लेकर चंडीगढ़ की एम्.पी. किरण खेर से उनके घर पर मिले और उनके सामने अपनी मांगो को लेकर एक मांग पत्र दिया | रखी गई मांगे इस प्रकार हैं: 1. चंडीगढ़ की कालोनियों में रहने के वाबजूद भी हमें घर नहीं मिले, और हमें टिन शेड़ का निवासी नहीं माना जा रहा है| हर ऱोज पुलिस वाले धमकी देते हैं कि वह कमरे खाली करवा लेंगे| हम चाहते हैं की जब तक हमें घर नहीं मिलते हमें तबतक सेक्टर-52 के टिन-शेड़ का स्थायी निवासी माना जाये| 2. हम पिछले कई महीनों से यहाँ पर रह रहे हैं लेकिन इस जगह पर कोई मूल-भूत सुविधाएं उपलब्ध नहीं हैं| गलियों में लाइटें तो लगी हुई हैं लेकिन वो चल नहीं रही हैं, गलियों की सफ़ाई नहीं होती है, यहाँ बने अधिक्तर शौचालयों के दरवाजे टूटे हुए हैं और पीने के पानी की भी सुविधा नहीं है| 3. कालोनी में गुंडागर्दी बहुत बढ गई है और यहाँ पर तैनात पुलिस वाले भी उनको रोकने का कोई भी प्रयास नहीं करते| कुछ लड़के दिन रात नंगी तलवारें लेकर घूमते हैं जिनका काम कमरों के ताले तोड़ कर लोगों का समान चोरी करना और औरतों और लड़कीयों के साथ छेड़खानी करना है| इनके लिए रात के समय लोगों को लूटना और धमकाना तो आम बात है और शराब यहाँ शरेआम बिकती है| हम चाहते हैं की इस सब पर रोक लगाई जाये| 4. यहाँ पर बिजली निजी ठेकेदार द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाई जाती है जोकि सरकारी बिजली से महँगी है और बिल भी वह ठेकेदार अपनी मर्जी से लगाता है| हम चाहते हैं की हमें सरकारी बिजली उपलब्ध करवाई जाये| 5. यहाँ पर सेहत व आंगनवाडी सुविधाओं का प्रबंध किया जाये| 6. राशन डीपू पर 5 नं.कालोनी के राशन कार्ड के आधार पर राशन नहीं दिया जा रहा है इसे चालू किया जाये| 7. कालोनी को कझेडी गाँव से जोड़ने वाला पुल पूरी तरह से टूट चुका है और कई बार तो ये हादसों का कारण भी बना है| हम चाहते हैं की इसकी मुरम्मत करवाई जाये| संयोजक (Convener) घर अधिकार संघर्ष मोर्चा | Sachinderpal Singh (Pali) Mobile No. - 9814507116
