Pretty exciting day around the ranch. Started with a good breakfast but had to eat inside since the weather was particularly cool this am. On to the courtyard that needed leveling which I proceeded to do with a flat shovel and the wheelbarrow. Fred got to move the first 8 loads of dirt then I started making smaller loads so I could dump them. On one of my return trips I spotted a little varmant running along the house. I quickly signaled fred to come see. As I suspected, a weasel! He ran into the pasture before we could eliminate it so after dinner we went out in the freezing wind to reinforce the chicken run. Wouldnt want to wake up to any fallen chicks. Rest easy tonight as I fall into bed from exhaustion! What will tomorrow hold? Dont know but I do know Wednesday will bring my boy back home!
