Pride and self-righteousness diminish the spirit of saint while true humility reveals our forever connection with God. While God approves of no sin, his mercy and his forgiveness is available for all sinners except the proud. It isnt that God cannot or will not forgive the sin of pride but that the proud person will not ask for Gods forgiveness. Lets be aware that pride is the root of all evil. We must therefore strive to be humble in our spiritual and temporal undertaking and ultimately asking for Gods mercy in our lives. A humble person sees the goodness of lifes opportunities as the way to serve God through making of a positive difference in the lives of others.
