Ps3 pregame ritual complete: QB Daniel Sams breaks out again, rushing for 200 yards on 22 carries and accounting for four total touchdowns (3 rush) as Kansas State regroups off the bye week to pound West Virginia 38-13 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium! RB John Hubert adds 108 ground yards on 17 attempts as the Wildcats amass 312 team rushing yards in the win. Sams also throws for 114 yards, much of which comes on a critical drive in the final minute of the second quarter. On a badly underthrown fade route down the left sideline, Tyler Lockett somehow adjusts to the football and comes down with a 37-yard reception to put K-State into the red zone with less than 10 seconds remaining. The clock stops to move the chains, but with no more timeouts left, Sams has to rush everyone to the line of scrimmage and just gets the snap off, then throws an absolute strike to Tramaine Thompson on the post route for a 19-yard touchdown as time expires! That gives K-State all the momentum and a 21-10 lead at the half, and the Mountaineers never make it close. CB Randall Evans intercepts WVU QB Clint Trickett twice in the third quarter, including once on K-States 2-yard line (Evans was a ballhawk on the day, also recovering a fumble in WVU territory in the first half), and DE Ryan Mueller records a forced fumble and four sacks! EMAW!!
