Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. You know the Psalm. Do you know the Shepherd? John 10:4-5 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” Whose voice are you listening to? If you are not listening to Jesus who leads you "in the paths of righteousness" (Psalm 3:3) but rather you are listening to Satan leading you to sin and think it is OK, then Jesus is not your Shepherd and you are impersonating his sheep too when you say that Psalm. Are you his sheep indeed? Seek Him in prayer. Psalm 145:18-20 18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. 19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. 20 The Lord preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. Repent, then go and sin no more (John 8:11) please. If that is your desire and you are serious, God will fulfill your desire. He will give you power to live like He want you to live and be pleasing to Him. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
