Public Has A Voice On E-Tolls, Promises Mashatile Paul Mashatile, the Chairman of the Gauteng arm of the ANC, may not have stood out to the SA public before, but after his proclamation that the people of the country would be heard on the issue, he is quickly becoming a firm favourite. The provincial conference based in Centurion that occurred this past weekend saw Mashatile stand firm in his view that the public’s opinion was important, and though some suggest that President Jacob Zuma is unhappy with the Chairman, Mashatile himself has refuted these claims, saying that his party values public opinion. It would seem that the current views surrounding e-tolls and their impropriety for the country’s needs have penetrated even the deepest roots of the ANC.
