A pull up is when your palms are facing away from you, while a chin up is when your palms face you and has more emphasis on your biceps than the first mentioned. #pullups 1. Grab the bar slightly wider than shoulder width and start from the bottom hanging all the way down (arms straight). 2. When you pull yourself up, imagine that you are pulling your elbows back to prevent from working too much with your arms. Pull as high as you can (your chin doesnt necessarily have to be over the bar) 3. Lower yourself controlled and slowly back down to the dead hang position. 4.
