Put Your Weight on It When I woke up this morning, I began to encourage myself in the Lord. I began to remind myself by verbalizing what God’s Word says about my life. I rehearsed His promises, and reminded the enemy that he was no match for me because Jesus secured my victory. I meditated on the promises so that the Word spoken to me and over me will not slip, not being drowned out by the issues of life. I put my weight on the lies of the enemy by aggressively speaking God’s Word. If you’ve ever tried to loosen a bolt with a pair of pliers, you know what I mean when I say I put my weight on it. There are some bolts that are on so tight that you have to bear down and get a good grip, giving everything you have so as to loosen them. That’s what it means to put your weight on it. Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Every situation can’t be dealt with the same, some things take a little more applied pressure than others. What issue are you dealing with today? Whatever it is, put your weight on it with the Word of God and watch as it works loose before your eyes. Matthew 11:12
