A bleakest day in our history after fall of Dacca Such acts reflects love and hate for the mother land .A glance over the history of Pakistan movement reflect that the majority of notables and elites from Punjab, Sarhad/KPK and Baluchistan have still not reconcile with the idea of independent Muslim state. Even so called Islam Pasand parties such as Jamait-ulma-l-Hind, Jamait-e-Islami of Molana Modooddi and also many more Malvis at large were deadly against creation of Pakistan/a separate Muslim state. So much so that that the people sitting at helm of affair made no affords to collect and assimilated the material to the record correct and true History of the Pakistan movement. Our history, so far, mostly based on hearsay and gossip, on unfounded/ unconfirmed reports, confined and cluster around Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal only, ( Dr.Allama Iqbal died[1938] much before the freedom movement took some concrete shape. Dr.Sahib was remained for some time, General Secretary of breakaway Lahore based friction of All India Muslim League known as Shafi League ) even person who was second-in-command and right-hand and very trusted lieutenant of Jinnah sahib, Khan Liaquat Ali Khan was deliberately tried to defame him what to say about other stewards of Freedom movement. No afford at all were made to preserved the material for drawing true history of the All India Muslim League/freedom movement. The available records were almost traumatized and deliberately made inaudible because rulings notables and elite of the Punjab were shy of history of the Pakistan movement, the Punjab being largest province of Pakistan but their contribution in establishment of Pakistan was negligible and insignificant. The Material collected from India Office Library and elsewhere for writing comprehensive history of the Pakistan Movement was dumped and still available in tit and bid but in deplorable conditions . Dr.Kurshid Kamal Aziz, a noted scholar and an internationally acclaim historian was deputed compile the history of freedom movement but General Ziaul Haq forced Mr. K K Aziz, being Ahmadi, to flee from Pakistan. The process of writing History was than entrusted to Dr (Miss) Kaniz Yousuf ,former Vice Chancellor of Quaid-E-Azam University to complete the task. Dr. Kaniz Yousuf who constituted an editorial board drawing imminent scholars from different universities/provinces. One of the member of editorial board, Professor M. Saddiq of Government College, Lahore, told me that the project for writing comprehensive history of Pakistan was almost completed .It transpired that by May1997, 96 out of 131 chapters of 8 volumes has been composed and edited when Dr. Kaniz Yousuf the editor-in-chief of the project was removed and the process of writing comprehensive of history of freedom movement was again shelved and abandoned officially . To take steps for damage control we much revisit our history especially with reference to 6 points program of Sh Mujeeb Rehman Sahib. This is high time that all four Provinces be made independent in all spares of State activities , only Foreign Affair, Communication and Defense should be made Central subject rest of activities of State be transferred to provinces for independent and exclusive handling by Provinces.
