RANT: IMHO a sequel (or prequel) should include a number of the same characters as the original and expand on the story of original. I just finished the sequel to A Time To Kill by John Grisham; Sycamore Row. It is a good story in its own right, as good as any other Grisham. It is set is the same town, has the same main character and a few returning characters but the story barely acknowledges the original and certainly doesnt add to it. I am disappointed this was marketed as a sequel. One of my fave all time books is Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. I was very excited with the sequel came out. This was even worse. It was set in the same town a century later and had none of the same characters. No where near the tome that Pillars is. Very disappointment and absolutely not a sequel. End of petty rant
